Matthew Herbert is an artist with a capital, a man able to explore the limits of musical language with surprising results, recording discs sounds extracted from food, cookware or several body parts. Herbert has also redone a Mahler symphony has recorded and toured with a big bandy is known for his remixes (Moloko, Ennio Morricone, Quincy Jones, REM, John Cale …) and collaborations with Björk. This spring Shake publishes its new work, which promises a summery touch.
